pdfy.ru is a free set of PDF tools focused on local-first processing. Whenever it is technically possible, your file stays in your browser: rotate PDF and PDF to JPG run locally via pdf-lib and pdf.js. You can verify it in the Network tab — no requests carry your file. Compress PDF runs locally too, with a one-click server option for unusual files.
For PDF to Word and Word to PDF we need full office libraries that are impractical in the browser (~200 MB WASM bundle). These tools still run on the server — your file is deleted right after conversion, nothing is stored. Every tool page shows an “In browser” or “On server” badge — honest signal, no marketing fluff.
